Influence of welding current on metal transfer modes in Pulsed Gas MAG welding

Carbon dioxide gas-shielded arc welding, which is widely used in industry, generates a large amount of spatter the medium and high current range. To solve this problem, we developed new welding process with low gas cost that call “Pulsed Gas MAG” (PGMAG) welding. In PGMAG metal transfer controlled by suitable addition Ar gas, but effect has not been clarified. Therefore, investigated 235- to 325-A range found pulse frequency must be adjusted between 35 65 Hz match (i.e., wire feed rate) control transfer. A wide area where controllable obtained adjusting for 235-325 A. It was considered there volume droplet released growth speed depends on rate.
